Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used for myriad of things. Traditionally, it has been used to take on repetitive tasks, like in manufacturing. We’ve seen AI beating game masters and now we have virtual assistants on our smartphones and in our homes. But there is a lot of research and experimentation being done right now to enhance audience’s entertainment experiences too. This lesson will help you understand the basics of AI.
This lesson covers what kind of data needs to be fed to an artificial intelligence, and how that helps train A.I. to generate extremely focused customer experiences in entertainment. Modern, powerful AI that really turn heads learn from their environments, audience actions and behaviors. To do this, these advanced AI need access to huge amounts of data, which means access to the Internet, huge databases of privately owned information and/or many sensors.
Entertainment companies constantly innovate to produce new types of entertaining media while technology companies produce new devices that will display and allow users to interact with media. It is a constant evolution. In this lesson, we’ll cover the role of A.I. in this changing environment to produce unique viewing experiences.
Movies remain one of the most popular ways audiences engage with their favorite stories and characters. Learn how A.I. could be used to enhance that engagement, creating new opportunities for interactive entertainment. In this lecture, we’ll explore some of the changes occurring in the movie industry and how AI could be used to adapt to this transformation. We’ll explore how we could make cinemas an amazing place to visit.
True artificial intelligence is still a couple years from being deployed correctly inside video game products. Soon, narrow AI can be used to give the illusion of true intelligence in innovative ways when used judiciously. In this lecture, we’ll explore how we can use machine learning AI as a tool to enhance and personalize video game experiences making them uniquely pleasing to audiences and add much needed replay ability.
A.I. can be used in many different useful ways. Music is just one of the applications where artificial intelligence shines, because music is mathematics. The music industry can make great use of AI. Already some initiatives and experiments have been done from creating musical scores based on artist input to robotic musicians that can create new instrumental tunes on their own. In this lecture, we’ll explore the opportunities for A.I. the music industry.
To sell entertainment one must be able to target the audience as precisely as possible. A.I. allows us to target specific individual’s entertainment tastes, assuming it is fed with the proper data. Marketing departments use all manner of media to put more products in front the right potential buyers. This lecture is about just how useful AI can be in determining exactly what ad and media should be used to reach single target demographic and to optimize engagement with a brand.
Virtual Reality (VR) has been around since the 1980’s. However, it is only recently that it has gotten popular because of advancements in display technology, miniaturization and most importantly, computing power. It great for niche experiences of full immersion into a digital world. In this lecture we’ll discuss how machine learning AI can be used with VR to truly personalize each user’s experience.
In this lecture, we’ll clearly define the difference between AR and VR and what media gives best experiences to augmented reality. We’ll look at how AI can work with proper selections of AR experiences to give users a truly enhanced experience. Artificial Intelligence in these cases can be used in much the same ways as with VR, but in much more practical ways.
We are already aware of digital assistants like Siri, Alexa, among others. We will discuss how these could become more sophisticated, and what could be done to really make them fantastic partners, butlers and entertainers, etc. We’ll also explore the possibilities of truly intelligent digital assistants and how that concept can be transformed into something entirely different with a primary entertainment function.
In this final lecture, we’ll explore the world of tomorrow, and imagine what kind of future we may have with A.I. well used in all manner of media, and all around us. We’ll see how AI can become our entertainment partners and friends. We’ll speculate a little bit on the potential social impacts of entertainment AI as teachers, comedians and news providers as well as the potential of AI sentience and its potential massive social impact.
